The majority of individuals experience the world through a single lens, but reality is
never limited to one perspective. Every moment has layers, tales, and hidden beauty that maybe discovered by simply shifting your perspective. The magic is found in the photo you almost did not take, the angle you did not try, and the detail you missed. World in Focus enables you to see beyond the apparent, transforming your everyday phone into a tool for exploration. While anyone can snap a photo, not everyone decides to look closely. Take another look, get closer, then take a step back. You are changing, not the world. Today, everything is decided by a trend or a person claiming that there is only one way to do things, but he wants to make it possible for anyone to display what they perceive in the world because everyone does not see the same perspective. You might fall in love with a picture you took because you felt it looked great from this perspective. From an idea, that’s where photography begins; all you need to do is go out and explore. Any image can you take turns into a memory and a lesson and inspire others to go out and replicate that image but in their own way.

The app I developed, World in Focus, is a location-based inspiration tool for
photographers that connects physical locations with notable individuals, like Snap Maps. Discover photographers and photographic techniques, learn what to shoot, where to shoot, and how to approach various photography fields. Users can select a location and see stylistically
relevant photographers tied to similar environments. It is your choice of how you want to take the picture. The campus of Prairie View A&M University serves as the inaugural location and the intention is to spread to other shooting locations regionally and nationally.
