Kashari Hawkins

Kashari Hawkins is a multidisciplinary visual designer and fiber artist from Dallas, Texas, with an
interest in Sports Design and textile-based art. Being on PVAMU’s sports media team has given
Hawkins the opportunity to explore her interest in sports design while growing her creative skills.
After taking graphic design in high school, she realized she wanted to pursue a career as a
designer. She also started crocheting around the same time, which has since become a
comforting creative outlet that informs her artistic voice.
Fiber arts has recently become a stronger focus through her senior thesis project, allowing her
to experiment with new materials and techniques that challenge her creativity. Her experiences
have helped her develop as a designer and pushed her to think outside the box while creating
meaningful and visually engaging work that reflects her identity and passion for both design and
fiber art.
